Graphic Design

During my studies in Graphic Design, I was able to learn everything from the Adobe Programs, layout design, brand building, logo creation, and developing my own creative process. Graphic Design has allowed me to enhance my art skills and build a diverse set of skills. These are a few of my works that I have accumulated through the years.

Branding became one of my favorite forms of design. I had the opportunity to build brands from the ground up, enhance brands that already existed, and working with companies and individuals to grow their own ideas and visions.

Layout design has been one of the most strategic and time consuming design processes that I have had to learn. The most important thing to me in layout, is taking my time, stepping away, and making every decision have a purpose.

Mental Disorders

A Layout Series

The project below asked me to choose a topic to bring awareness and knowledge to. I chose two articles to outline not only mental disorders, but also to dive deeper into specifically depression. The last layout was a visual piece to add to the collection.

  • This layout was designed to make an uncomfortable topic, comfortable. The images, spacing, design, and feel, each have their individual purpose. The information isn’t talked about often, and I wanted it to feel welcoming enough to go as far as enjoying the further knowledge of the content.

  • The layout of Depression has a more straight forward and intense feel to it. I chose this style to encapsulate how depression itself would design it’s information, still allowing there to be a softness.

  • This is a collection of images and quotes that touch on the topic of what has been talked about in the three layouts. This is meant to be an artistic and poetic end to the heavy topics talked about in this layout series.

Typography is where I explored the more technical and structural part of my design process.

Through my Graphic Design programs, I was able to learn the basics of After Effects.

The purpose of this project was to collaboratively design a moving art pieces that simultaneously plays with the song “Kids of America” by Kim Wilde. The group I was working with separated our part into stanzas and designed what we thought would match the message of the song. Our color scheme and style was based on the era of the song, and its context.
